Reading the
wheel
A synastry chart lays one birth chart over another. The wheel is turned to the first person's rising sign, and both sets of planets sit at their real degrees.
Each line joins a planet of one person to a planet of the other when the angle between them is one astrologers watch: 60, 90, 120 or 180 degrees. Planets on the same degree are listed as conjunctions.
We draw only the close ones, within three and a half degrees, so the wheel shows the strongest connections rather than every possible one.

The planets only need the dates. The times matter for the houses and for the fast-moving Moon, so without them the Moon lines are a little less exact and the houses are left out.
